Welcome to the Otoe County Register of Deeds web page. We provide this information as a service to the public. The Register of Deeds office handles the custody, safe keeping, and preservation of all records, maps, and papers pertaining to land located in Otoe County Nebraska. The Register of Deeds is responsible for maintaining accurate and current land records. Numerous documents relating to real estate including Deeds, Mortgages, Deeds of Trust, Easements, Contracts, Assignments, Releases and Plats are recorded in this office. Federal and State Tax Liens and UCC Financing Statements are also found in the office records. Records date back to April 1855 with Otoe being spelled “Ottoe”. These records are stored in books of various types in a secure vault and cannot for any reason be taken outside the building.
